With the announcement that Governor Abbott will rescind the mandatory mask order effective on March 10th, some have asked how this will affect Viva Fresh.
- Viva Fresh will continue to be a masked event
- Viva will adhere to all current safety plans
- Trade show and events will be mask-mandatory, except designated “mask optional” areas.
- The Gaylord hotel remains committed to its Commitment to Clean safety measures and their face covering policy remains in effect for employees and guests.
Providing a safe space for our attendees has been a priority, one we’ve announced and discussed many times since we made the decision to provide a live show in 2021. Visitors to the Viva Fresh Expo are coming from different states and countries with varying mask orders and case counts and those visitors have made plans based on the conditions prior to the governor’s announcement. We intend to keep that promise and maintain our original plans with regards to mask protocols at the event.
As Governor Abbott said, “COVID has not suddenly disappeared,” and “despite these changes, remember this: removing state mandates does not end personal responsibility or the importance of caring for your family members and caring for your friends and caring for others in your community. Personal vigilance to follow the safe standards is still needed to contain COVID.”
Thank you for your understanding and patience and we look forward to welcoming you to Dallas in a few short weeks!
